New 10.6-metre VDL Futura length variant

VDL Bus & Coach is expanding the Futura range with a compact 10.6-metre length variant, the Futura FHD2-106. This new Futura model dovetails seamlessly with the other models in the Futura family and benefits from VDL’s modular design and all of the advantages that that entails. The VDL Futura FHD2-106 will be on show for the first time at the 66th IAA Nutzfahrzeuge, which will be held from 22 to 29 September 2016 in Hanover, Germany. The VDL Bus & Coach stand is in hall 11, stand number C37.

Luxury VIP segment
With the Futura FHD2-106 VDL Bus & Coach is targeting the VIP segment, smaller groups that want to travel in exceptional luxury and comfort. Like the other Futura models, the 10.6-metre length variant has a completely flat floor. The entire interior exudes a feeling of spaciousness thanks to matching colours, a balanced lighting concept and open luggage compartments. The maximum seating configuration is 41/43+1+1, but there are lots of possibilities for configuring the coach entirely in line with the customer’s individual preferences. Passengers’ travel enjoyment can be further increased with a 2+1 configuration, face-to-face seating and a wide range of options for the furniture, kitchens and entertainment systems. An excellent climate control system provides a pleasant temperature.

Profit of Ownership
The new VDL Futura FHD2-106 is a true member of the Futura family. The low net weight, reduced fuel consumption and low running costs also make this Futura model a highly profitable investment. The 10.6-metre length gives the coach maximum manoeuvrability. The design of both the exterior and the interior is the same as that of the other FHD2 models, giving the FHD2-106 a solid and robust appearance. The luggage space, with a volume of 4.7 m3, is extremely ample in proportion to the length of the coach.
